Dressing for a Job Interview
We all make an impression of someone the first time we see them. The first impression you make on your interviewer is critical. How you dress and introduce yourself is very important. It does not take long for an interviewer to tell whether you are a good fit for the company or not. So, dress appropriately, greet with a handshake, and a smile. Different jobs require different attire for an interview. We recommend that you stay away from jeans, T-shirt, sneakers, and men's open-toe shoes. Sometimes it's hard to tell how to dress for the interview. You do not want to show up in a suit if it's not called for. You will look like you don't understand the job or the industry. Any interview that you will be working in a corporate setting or managerial position men should wear a business suit, tie, white, blue, or gray dress shirt, and black or brown dress shoes. Blue, black, gray, and brown are the norm for men suits. Women can get away with wearing mostly any color however; women should be conservative when selecting a color for their interview.
